My wife, Claudia, objects to my using pigs to symbolize piggish behavior. She believes that pigs are really quite intelligent and caring creatures. So let’s say I’m comparing the morphed-GOP’ers to the behavior that has been attributed (perhaps undeservedly) to pigs rather than to the actual animals (Sus domesticus).The three shown, however, are clearly feeding at the public trough.
It is interesting that the so-called conservatives object to “pork barrel” projects that serve public needs (sewage plant upgrade, library, etc.) but are opposed to even the slightest tax increase for million and billionaires or to remove any corporate subsidies. Let’s call get smart and call “pork” “bringing home the bacon.”
Personally, I’d like to see the NRA harvest some bacon!
